During the movie, I was noticing the people around us. Affection shared, touching, holding hands. My wife on the other hand, as far as she could be from me sitting in the next seat. No touch, no affection.
I kept wondering how can this be. Why must this be. It wasn't always like this.
On another topic, I went to the Provo Freedom Festival Parade this am. Lots and lots of people, floats, etc. But I was sort of bored to death. And when all these folks were cheering for the LDS missionaries--I kept thinking how glad I was to no longer be one. One big float went by touting faith and values, and what came to my mind was the value they placed in pushing their version of life and morality, and politically and legally wanting everyone else to live up to it. At this point in life, I really see the wrong in that kind of viewpoint.
OH my gosh, Ryan is so flippin hot!!!! I totally agree with you on that point.
ReplyDeleteI am a RM as well, and I don't see your view point on them "pushing their version of life and morality, and politically and legally".
Quinn--I wasn't referring to the missionaries. I was referring to the "politically active" float I saw later in the parade filled with those who would deny civil rights to homosexuals, and those who politically press their version of morality onto others through litigation.
ReplyDeleteMissionaries do it right frankly. If you believe something, and can convince someone to accept it of their own "free will," wonderful.
Sorry if that was confusing.
Ryan Reynolds is totally cute at moments. And has a way hot bod. I support some crushing on him.
ReplyDeleteI'll add my crush on Ryan Reynolds. This was the first movie my wife and I have seen since I shared my non-heterosexuality with her. She knows I think he's cute and was very supportive. :)
