Yesterday was a great sunny day and busy from start to finish. Some volunteer work, going to my son's game, then off to the west side of Utah lake to go shooting with a friend, and my son. I haven't done something like that in 10 years. Felt nice, and a great way to get some of that manliness out. My boy loved it. Funny thing though--no matter how "manly" the activity, no change in some things. Quite a few people were out there, and of course, lots of groups of fine looking semi-redneck men. My attention was "drawn."
Of course it was. That's because being gay has nothing to do with trying to compensate for some imaginary latent deficit of masculinity. That's one of the biggest and stupidest myths around. Unfortunately a lot of "reparative therapy" rests squarely on it. It's all codswallop.
ReplyDeleteAlan--you are one wise man. Wish you were closer.
